Mission Statement: “students forming relationships and financing dreams”
I’m not the best with words, but I feel like something to the effect of the above captures both what makes us unique (being a primarily student-run organization) and our goals (first and foremost from what we’ve discussed, forming relationships seems to be paramount.) “Financing dreams” seems a little cheesy, but I was trying to express our status as a bank while still differentiating us from more traditional MFI’s.
I like that you mentioned students in your mission statement. That is something that I didn’t add to mine, but now thinking about it, I definitely think it should be in there. La Ceiba is run by students and it is an important aspect of our organization. It is good to remember that we are not professionals, but are undergraduate students working to make a difference with the knowledge we have acquired throughout the years.
